Presales are technical experts who support the sales process by providing detailed product knowledge, demonstrations, and technical expertise to potential customers (CIDBEC).
- Participate in and lead bid teams by ensuring solutions stated in the Statement of Work are best practice and in line with client requirements.
- Supports the sales team and leads the technical aspect of the selling process including the developing and conducting of professional product presentations and demonstrations to generate sales and meet revenue objectives.
- Works closely with sales representatives that support both direct sales and reseller sales channels.
- Provides overall leadership on initiatives and projects.
- Make decisions for team in support of regional goals and objectives.
- Build trusted relationships with sales teams and client accounts, such that they can leverage their business/industry expertise to increase the company’s credibility and communicate the company value proposition primarily in sales situations.
- Carrying out tender responses, answering and expanding on functional / technical requirements within complex tender documents of potential clients.
- Actively research and maintain a thorough understanding of our own products and competitor strengths and weaknesses.
- Working with Business Development to ensure that all sales documentation and collateral is kept up to date and relevant.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, ideally in a subject such as Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing, Statistics is preferred.
- Detail-oriented with proven ability to understand and translate high level objectives into an actionable deliverable and project plan.
